Glueing the Transom
The first piece of the hull sheeting goes on.
The Transom was the first peace of sheeting that I put on. The extra stiffeners across the bottom and the ones on deck level to port and starboard allowed me to just stick it on, and fix it with a couple of screws so I could mask it.
Like always everything was pre coated with clear epoxy before I applied the thickened glue. I used a mixture of colidial silica, cotton and class bubbles. Getting the amount and thickness just right takes some practice but is crucial to get an even squeeze out.
After I cleaned up the squeeze out on the joints, I used the excess epoxy it to fill the recessed screws with. Can you spot the one hole I missed?
